What do we do?
Step 1. Personal Contact

We believe that we should begin any relationship by building trust. In order for that to happen we need to meet with you personally to hear your vision for your church and to see if there are some ways in which the Global Focus principles can support you and your vision. Global Focus is networked with a number of other ministries and it could be that we could recommend other resources that would fit your situation better should the Global Focus ministry not meet your needs. If nothing else it is good to be able to fellowship and pray together as we hear one anothers hearts. There is no commitment to meet beyond this initial contact unless we both believe that the Holy Spirit is encouraging further involvement.

Step 2. Global Focus Seminar

The Global Focus Seminar, held in a local church, is designed to unite the church’s leaders through a shared biblical vision and a balanced local/global strategy that will enthuse and empower the church for more effective local and global impact.

This seminar takes the principles discussed during the personal contact and introduces them to the broader church leadership. Small group interaction, workshops and discussion begin to help the church leadership think through the application of the principles to their local church situation. Normally taking place on a Friday night and Saturday this seminar will begin a process of change which can be supported and accelerated by the Church Companionship stage of the Global Focus ministry.

For more information download the Seminar Proposal and Schedule from the Seminar section on the Downloads page.

Step 3. Church Companionship

The Global Focus Companionship Service is a personalised support process designed to be a catylist to help the local church leadership to engage its congregation in local/global mission in a more significant way than ever before. The church companion will make 10 regular visits over an 18 month period and will be there to listen, reflect, to make suggestions, sensitively ask incisive questions and give advice where asked. This is a structured service that follows a set schedule and involves all levels of church leadership. It is clear from the beginning therefore where we are headed although the specific strategies, ministry, partnerships etc. will be designed by each local church. This service is only accessible following a Global Focus Seminar at the church.

For more information download the Global Focus Companionship proposal from the Companionship section on the Downloads page. A helpful ministry 'Development process' is also available in this section.
