So what do we believe?
The bottom line.

Christ's command to "go into all the world and make disciples of all nations" is the defining call and commision that He gave to the Church. In order for this command to be completed, we believe that the local church must therefore understand and fulfill its' God given role as His primary instrument to accomplish this task.

So what do we do to help the local church to recognise and implement this truth? How do we encourage and serve church leaders to lead their churches to reach the world, both locally and globally, with the life giving message of Christ?

The paradigm shift.

There first needs to be a clear paradigm shift that will lead to key principles being embraced and implemented by the local church leadership. Without this happening the church will never realise its' local and global impact potential. Some of these principles are listed below:

Main Principles
  • Worship is the primary motivation for local global mission.
  • The local church is Gods' primary instrument to fulfil His global purposes.
  • The Pastor/Leader is the key influencer for the cause of local and global mission and together with the leadership team, brings about change within the local church.
  • The church should intentionally develop a personality, purpose and strategy that reflect Gods' global cause.
  • The change needed to put Gods' global purpose into the heart of the church is a long-term process, not a "quick fix".

..... continued
  • Personal ownership by every member of the congregation is a goal that will eventually unleash the local church for local and global ministry.
  • A cultural understanding of the local and global mission context is paramount in any endeavour undertaken by the church.
  • The "Partnership" principle is an essential element in a successful mission strategy. This links the local church with local ministries, missionaries, national christians and churches, where they exist.
  • A balanced strategy should include at least one ministry focussed on "unreached peoples".
