Global Focus History

Global Focus was founded by Dr Larry D. Reesor on March 27, 1995. Larry served as an evangelist, pastor and missions agency executive for many years. After studying the scriptures, church history and the mission movement, combined with years of practical experience, Larry became convinced of two things that comprise part of the foundation of the Global Focus ministry.

1. The local church is God's primary instrument to share the good news of Jesus with the world.

2. The Pastor and Church Leaders are the ones whom God has ordained to lead the local church to gain a vision for the world and develop a personalised, prioritised, integrated and strategic involvement in local and global mission.

After eight years of very successful ministry with churches in the USA, in October 2003 Global Focus UK was started  with the mandate to adapt the material and process to best serve churches in the United Kingdom.

Since then a great deal of effort has been put into the contextualisation of the material and process through wide consultation and experience with individual churches.
